1. Ownership of Content
Unless otherwise stated, all original content available through Get Knitting Patterns is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.

All rights not expressly granted under this license are reserved.
Purchasing or downloading a product from Get Knitting Patterns does not transfer ownership of the copyright or intellectual property rights to you.
2. Personal Use License
When you legally purchase a digital product from Get Knitting Patterns, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use that product for your own personal use.
You may:
Download the purchased file for your personal use.
Save a personal copy on your own devices.
Print one or more copies for your own personal reference.
Use the pattern to create knitted items for yourself.
Use the pattern to create personal gifts.
Refer to the pattern while completing your own knitting project.
Your purchase gives you permission to use the pattern, not ownership of the pattern itself.
3. No Redistribution
You may not redistribute any Get Knitting Patterns digital product, whether for free or for payment.
You must not:
Share the PDF with another person.
Email the file to another person.
Upload the file to a website.
Upload the file to a cloud folder for shared access.
Post the file in a Facebook group.
Post the file in a Telegram group.
Post the file on Discord.
Share the file through WhatsApp groups.
Upload the file to Pinterest.
Upload the file to forums or communities.
Upload the file to file-sharing websites.
Share a download link with other people.
Distribute printed copies of the pattern.
Include the pattern in digital bundles.
Each person who wants to use one of our patterns must obtain their own lawful copy unless Get Knitting Patterns has expressly provided written permission otherwise.
4. No Resale
You may not resell any Get Knitting Patterns pattern or digital file.
This includes selling:
The original PDF
A copied PDF
A reformatted version
A translated version
A modified version
A scanned version
A photographed version
Screenshots of the pattern
A printed copy
A digital bundle containing our pattern
You may not purchase one of our patterns and then offer it for sale on:
Etsy
Shopify
Amazon
eBay
Gumroad
Creative Market
Your own website
Social media
Online marketplaces
Physical stores
Any other commercial platform
5. No Sharing With Friends or Family
A purchase is licensed to the individual purchaser.
You may not buy one copy and share it with:
Friends
Family members
Colleagues
Customers
Students
Employees
Knitting groups
Craft clubs
Workshop attendees
Social media communities
If another person wants to use the pattern, they should purchase their own copy.
6. No Commercial Redistribution
You may not use our digital patterns as part of a commercial product or service that redistributes or reproduces the pattern itself.
You may not:
Include our pattern in a paid course.
Include our pattern in a subscription library.
Include our pattern in a membership area.
Include our pattern in a digital pattern bundle.
Sell access to our pattern files.
Include our instructions inside another commercial PDF.
Republish our instructions in a book, ebook, blog, magazine, or website.
Provide copies of the pattern to customers.
Commercial licensing is only permitted with prior written approval from Get Knitting Patterns.
Unless a specific product states otherwise, you may sell finished physical items that you personally make using our patterns on a small-scale basis.
This permission applies only to the finished knitted item.
You may not sell or distribute the pattern itself.
You may not:
Include the PDF with the finished product.
Reproduce the written pattern in your product listing.
Give the pattern to the buyer.
Claim the pattern design as your own.
Mass-produce products using our patterns.
Use our patterns for large-scale manufacturing.
License our designs to manufacturers without written permission.
Where reasonably practical, we appreciate attribution such as:
“Pattern by Get Knitting Patterns – getknittingpatterns.com”
Attribution does not grant additional rights.
8. No Mass Production
Permission to sell finished items applies only to small-scale, handmade production.
You may not use our patterns for:
Factory production
Industrial production
Large-scale manufacturing
Automated production
Outsourced manufacturing
Wholesale production
Commercial production involving third-party factories
Any larger-scale commercial use requires prior written permission.
9. No Modification for Resale
You may modify a pattern for your own personal knitting project.
However, modifying a pattern does not create a new copyright-free product.
You may not:
Change a few instructions and resell the pattern.
Change colours and claim the pattern as your own.
Change measurements and redistribute the pattern.
Rewrite our instructions and sell them.
Rearrange our content and publish it as a new product.
Combine parts of our pattern with other material and sell the resulting pattern.
Create derivative digital patterns substantially based on our original instructions for commercial distribution.
Minor or substantial modifications do not automatically transfer copyright ownership to you.
10. No Translation for Distribution
You may translate a pattern for your own personal understanding.
You may not:
Sell the translated version.
Share the translated version.
Upload the translated version online.
Publish the translated version.
Distribute the translated version to another person.
Include the translated version in a course, group, or membership.
Permission to commercially translate or publish one of our patterns must be obtained in writing.
11. No Copying of Written Instructions
You may not reproduce substantial portions of our written pattern instructions.
This includes copying instructions into:
Blog posts
Websites
Social media captions
Videos
Online courses
Books
Ebooks
Newsletters
Forums
Digital downloads
Printed handouts
Membership content
Brief references may be permitted where allowed by applicable copyright law, but this does not permit reproduction of the pattern or substantial parts of it.
12. No Screenshot Distribution
Taking screenshots of a purchased pattern does not remove copyright protection.
You may not use screenshots to:
Share instructions
Publish pattern sections
Redistribute charts
Share stitch counts
Provide free copies
Create tutorials reproducing the pattern
Circumvent the prohibition on sharing the original PDF
13. Photographs and Product Images
Photographs and product images displayed on Get Knitting Patterns remain protected content.
Unless expressly authorised, you may not:
Copy our product images for your own store.
Use our photographs to advertise your own products.
Remove watermarks.
Claim our photographs as your own.
Use our images in marketplace listings.
Use our images in social media advertising.
Use our product photography to sell finished items.
If you sell finished products made from one of our patterns, you should use photographs of the items you personally created.
14. Website Content
The copyright protections described in this license also apply to original content published on Get Knitting Patterns.
You may not systematically copy, scrape, reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit our website content.
This includes:
Product descriptions
Pattern descriptions
Blog content
Category text
Guides
Graphics
Images
Original written content
15. Educational Use
Purchasing a pattern does not automatically provide a classroom, group, workshop, or teaching license.
You may not purchase one pattern and distribute it to multiple:
Students
Workshop participants
Class members
Employees
Club members
Each participant should purchase an individual copy unless Get Knitting Patterns has granted written group-use permission.
You may not use Get Knitting Patterns content to train, develop, test, fine-tune, populate, or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems without prior written permission.
This restriction includes:
Uploading complete patterns into AI datasets
Adding our content to training datasets
Using our PDFs to train generative AI systems
Using our pattern library to build competing automated pattern-generation services
Systematically extracting our instructions for machine-learning purposes
This restriction does not prevent ordinary personal use of lawful software tools where our content is not being redistributed, commercially exploited, or used as training data.
17. Automated Scraping and Extraction

18. Copyright Notices
You must not remove, hide, alter, or obscure:

Watermarks
Ownership notices

Removing a copyright notice does not remove our copyright rights.
19. Account and Download Sharing
Customer accounts and download links are intended for the individual purchaser.
You may not:
Share login details for the purpose of giving others access to purchased patterns.
Publish private download links.
Resell access to your customer account.
Allow multiple unrelated users to use one account as a pattern library.
Circumvent technical download restrictions.
Suspicious download activity may result in temporary or permanent restriction of access where reasonably necessary to protect our content.
20. Copyright Infringement
Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, resale, or publication of Get Knitting Patterns content may constitute copyright infringement.
If we discover unauthorised use, we may take appropriate action, including:
Requesting immediate removal.
Sending copyright infringement notices.
Filing takedown requests with hosting providers.
Filing notices with marketplaces.
Contacting social media platforms.
Restricting customer account access.
Revoking download access.
Refusing future orders.
Seeking legal remedies where appropriate.
21. Marketplace Takedowns
Where our protected content is unlawfully uploaded or sold through a third-party marketplace or platform, we may submit intellectual property complaints or takedown requests.
